The Schools of Peace Charitable Foundation supports educational initiatives not only in Russia, but also in Armenia. One of them is the Aurora Youth Project. Every year, teams from schools and colleges of the United World Colleges movement and the African Leadership Academy apply to participate in a competition of student projects that are designed to solve problems relevant to their communities, whether it be waste disposal or creating opportunities for education and socialization of youth in refugee camps. The winning team receives a cash prize for the further development of their project.
The Aurora Youth Project was launched in 2017 as a partnership between the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative, UWC International, Teach for All and the African Leadership Academy. Its goal is to inspire students to find creative, innovative and sustainable solutions to problems in the communities where their schools are located.
The Schools of Peace Charitable Foundation is participating in the competition and providing a platform for student teams to present their projects.
