Every year, the competition sets a new theme that reflects a socially significant issue. The theme for 204 is importance of mental health and prevention of burnout of educators and tutors working with the integration of children with special needs. Detailed terms of the competition this year can be found here.
The "HAND-IN-HAND" grant contest started in 2021. Every year it set a new theme reflecting some socially significant task.
THE TOPICS OF PAST YEARS WERE:
- Support for projects to implement and disseminate best practices for the adaptation and inclusion of children and adolescents from families with migration experience and those with refugee status;
- Promoting the principles of cultural diversity, coexistence and prosperity;
- Mental health and combating burnout of teachers and tutors working with the integration of children with special needs.
The last theme helped the competition find its niche - helping those who help. This is in tune with the mission of the competition, because who else but teachers and mentors develop and promote the principles of inclusion in education and upbringing.
Over the three years of the competition, three NPOs have won, and the total amount of grants was 2,250,000 rubles. However, the benefit for the contestants is measured not only in money. An important component of the "in/place" is educational. All participants take a free training course on project management and team management, and get acquainted with examples of successful programs. Thus, the best projects receive grant support, and their teams receive the necessary knowledge for the professional implementation and development of their initiatives. In the last year, practical knowledge and recommendations on drafting grant applications were added to the training master classes within the competition.
THE WORK CONTINUES AND A NEW CYCLE OF "IN/PLACE" WILL START THIS AUTUMN:
- The call for applications for the competition will start on September 29 and will last on October 13;
- "Hand-in-hand" online-school will be held from October 20 to November 7;
