Scholarship program for high-school students
About
project
Every year, 9,000 students from different countries, including Russia, study at UWC schools and colleges. Candidates undergo a very rigorous selection process. Education at UWC is paid and if the families of gifted teenagers who have been selected are unable to pay for the education fully or partially, they are provided with financial need-based support.
The selection of candidates and nomination to UWC colleges with a full or partial scholarship are run by the UWC National Committees in various countries across the world. There is a National Committee in Russia. Every year, the NC of Russia receives hundreds of applications from high school students from almost all regions of Russia.
In 1994, the first students from Russia were selected for UWC education. The main goals of the UWC National Committee in Russia are to represent the UWC movement in our country, to keep in touch with alumni of UWC schools and colleges, and to select and nominate candidates from Russia for UWC educational programs. Since 2013, UWC Russia has been supported by the "Scholae Mundi" Charity Foundation.
